I trust that you'd find something, I just knew that you enjoyed coaching. So there.

Just to reiterate:

Two reasons I won't vote for tman:

1.) I hate Jaegermeister in any way, shape, or form, and

2.) The scarf.

Other than that, I'd be a supporter.

House for sale.

Well the house should be "officially" on the market in a few days, we have a recommended REMAX lady coming by tomorrow. A house across the street sold in 2 days under her watch. Now, I am not expecting that, but a few weeks would be nice. I hope the price works out where I want it, that way we can upgrade at the next abode. Speaking of which, yesterday we found a house in Fairview Heights that we both like. It is 4 miles from the mall, but yet out in the country. You go north off Exit 9, then the first left and follow that out a few miles into the country. There you will find a collection of nice homes near a park and a golf course. We are looking at one on a private cul-de-sac, which is a great bonus. The house is similar to the rest(brick, two level, attached garage, etc.) but needs some cosmetic touch ups. So we are hopefully going to look at the inside on Sunday, at which time we could figure out if this is the house for us. It has 4 bedrooms(so visitors have a place to stay), 2 upstairs and 2 downstairs. 1 and 3/4 bathrooms, which means the 2nd bathroom is just a shower, no tub. It has a finished basement that walks out to the backyard. Kitchen, dining room, family room, and full bath upstairs. It is also fairly close to the metro stop, so Sarah can ride it to work and save money on gas. Hopefully it all works out.

So to answer the most asked queestions: "So you are moving? What about coaching? What are you going to do?"

1. Sarah is moving pretty soon. I am not. I will remain in the house until is sells then I will rent a small apartment in Ctown.

2. I am coaching this fall at CZR. I will go to STL after that.

3. Start my teaching program in Missouri. Read this article.

So there.

An oldie but a goodie.

More politics.

You may not know who to vote for, but I have the answer (click the safe for work link below).

THE CHOICE FOR YOU

I made that 4 years ago(about the same amount of time since I consumed Jager).
So vote for me, or else.

There will be blood...

Read this article from 2005...LINK

Some excerpts:

"The coal-conversion process produces no air pollution, uses no water and creates electricity as a byproduct. The petroleum fuels produced could be shipped out of state by pipeline."

"The answer, Barna told Schweitzer, is that break-even point with Fischer-Tropsch technology is when oil is $35 a barrel. When oil costs more than $35 a barrel, it's cheaper to make these fuels from coal through this technology."

That article is from 2005. A barrel of oil is now $125. The bottom line is we need to get off out lazy, American asses and start moving forward on other ways to create energy and gas. I recently heard a statistic from a member of the National Coal Board, speaking about gas prices, coal, and oil in the US. He stated that the US has enough oil in offshore deposits to power 60 million cars for 60 years, of course that can be disputed, but the fact remains that we have a lot of oil out there. Yet, we won't drill offshore. Instead we ask Middle Eastern countries to produce more oil. Yet, we haven't built a new refinery in 32 years.

Also, after we ask for more production from the Middle East, Iran says they are going to scale back production. GREAT JOB! (Iran hates us, seriously. )

I think what we need to realize as a whole is that we must work on the energy situation. I believe that we should develop and invest in ALL energy sources: wind, solar, hydroelectric, coal gasification, more oil drilling, oil shale, etc. I am also a huge believer in making what we have more efficient. I also believe that the majority of elected officials we have aren't going to to jack squat about it. The bottom line is that we have to WAKE UP! I am tired of hearing people bitching about gas prices without looking into why they are high or what can be done. Bitching doesn't solve the problems. We have to have forward thinking and solutions, not false promises, saying the word "change" over and over(looking at you Obama), or allowing the government to be in bed with the oil companies.

I am sorry for the rant, but people need to wake up.

Gotta get back in time....

Ladies and Gentlemen....I present the best news I have received in the last 10 hours....

HUEY LEWIS AND THE NEWS WILL BE AT THE IL STATE FAIR!

Aug 10. In Springfield. Well I guess I know what I am doing that day.

Meg Griffin: Oh no! I'm missing the news!
Peter Griffin: We all miss The News, Meg, but Huey Lewis needs time to create, and we need to be patient.
